James L. Clayborn was born in Great Falls, Montana in 1949. James studied Fine Art at the University of Montana.
He moved to the Flathead Valley in 1976 and has worked for the past 30 years as an illustrator and graphic designer. His home is only 30 minutes from Glacier National Park where he draws much of his inspiration.

Among his many art projects, he has created a series of art posters depicting Glacier National Park and Northwest Montana.

Images of nature are the basis of his artwork. He recreates the gift of nature not only as recognizable, distinct images, but also as abstract impressions.
